Starts on Beltane (1st May)
If you’ve experienced the loss of a familiar, you’ll know how heartbreaking and devastating the whole experience is. I had to put my Belle down in February 2018, and although at the end it was ultimately an easy decision, it was the most painful thing I had ever had to do. It was easy, because I loved her so much, and forcing myself to watch her writhe in agony was far more unbearable than to release her from her physical body. But it was more painful than I had ever imagined, and I miss her terribly every day.
I wanted to create a free course or workshop for others who have been through the same, in the hopes of perhaps easing some of the pain that comes with losing a familiar, and maybe even finding some closure.
This 10-day email course will be delivered straight to your inbox starting on Beltane (1st May), and will explore the ways in which your connection with your familiar has changed you into a better person. It doesn’t matter if your familiar was a cat, dog, horse, bird, reptile, rodent, or any other species of animal. What’s important is that you had a connection and a bond, and that you would like to honour that.
This course will cover:
- Their purpose in your life
- Key lessons they taught you
- Who have you become because of them
- Guided meditations
- Journal prompts
- Messages of comfort
- Ritual to celebrate their life
You will need your journal and a pen (or a tablet & stylus) and access to a device that plays mp3 files for my guided meditations. The first year that I took fellow mourners on this journey, I asked that they had a tarot or oracle deck of choice, however I have since revised the journey and therefore a deck is not necessary.
The short ritual calls for a birthday candle, a fire proof dish like a cauldron, matches, a pen and some paper.
If you are having trouble dealing with the death of your familiar, my free guide may offer some words of comfort to you at this painful time. I wrote it from personal experience, in memory of my Belle, and it compliments this email course perfectly.
Please feel free to share this guide with anyone you feel may benefit from it.
